Job Hunt Follies

My journey through Graduate School to earn a Masters of Art in Education. I was on track to become a teacher, but now everything has changed, and I'm on the job hunt with a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts and a Master's in Education with no teaching certificate.

Book shopping

I hate to admit it, but Amazon had access to used copies of the books on my booklists where Powell's did not. I hate not using the local guy but I really need to save money. Powell's did have some used copies but they were more expensive than Amazons used copies. Of course all the copies I ordered were listed in "good" condition or better, so I'll see what happens when I get them.

I'm probably shooting myself in the foot and will get copies so beat up that I can't really use them for much. I kind of expect missing pages.

I was able to order six out of seven books for $165. Not bad and it's costing $20 in shipping and handling fees.

The only book I was unable to order was Teaching in the Knowledge Society. It's a new book and I could have pre-ordered it, but I think I'll just check back later for it.
