My journey through Graduate School to earn a Masters of Art in Education. I was on track to become a teacher, but now everything has changed, and I'm on the job hunt with a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts and a Master's in Education with no teaching certificate.

 

Bad Feelings

I'm feeling bad. But I think I can feel good about it. As the term winds down we have spent the last of our educational time in the tutoring sessions and I have a list of things I didn't do well. During my time as a private tutor I was very reactionary. I meet with a student, got the assignment, and pounded out an ad lib lesson about concepts, connections, procedures, whatever. I did the same thing with A and R and I was the one who was supposed to set the schedule! I acted like a reactionary when there was nothing to react to. I hope I don't do the same thing when I'm in a classroom, but I will have to plan ahead and the proper context to do it in. I didn't realize that this was the proper context for me to do it in.
